World of Knowledge begin in 1981 as a Montessori school for Kindergarten through 8th grade. The school has since expanded to include preschool, VPK and High School classrooms.
At World of Knowledge we conduct ourselves professionally and personally to reflect our respect for each other and the children we serve.
Our educational approach includes respect for self and others, focuses on harmony in education, provides individualized lesson plans while mixed with multi-age classes where the child can learn and also help and support one another. It is our aim to teach the child to become independent, thoughtful for self, and others. Along with everyday academics, we teach our students necessary life skills along with the importance of being kind and volunteering within the community.
Our mission is to provide our students with the best educational possible and to instill the love of learning through a hands on and innovative approach. We promote peer mentorship, independence and self-awareness both personally and academically.
With our small family environment, we are able to provide our students with a more in depth understanding of a higher education. We provide them with opportunities to explore necessary life skills, individual responsibilities, the realms of respect, community involvement and personal growth.
We promote and encourage the intellectual, social and physical development of the children from Preschool through Upper Elementary according to the Montessori Method. For our Middle School and High School students, we incorporate the basics of the Montessori Method as well as using the traditional method of learning. We will maintain a school for children wherein the Montessori Method of education is practiced, and promulgated by the American Montessori Society.
World of Knowledge is an affiliate of American Montessori Society (AMS) and accredited by the National Independent Private Schools Association (NIPSA). We have been approved by the Gold Seal Quality Care Program and are a designated provider of the Early Learning Coalition. We are also a five star rating with the Sunshine Stars Program. We participate in the McKay Scholarship Program and the Step Up for Students Scholarship Program, VPK, PLSA (Gardiner), Hope Scholarship, Family Empowerment Scholarships and AAA Scholarships. We are also a proud member of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce (WPCC).
The preschool, elementary, middle school and high school are housed in separate centrally air-conditioned buildings. Our tree covered playgrounds are equipped with a variety of recreational equipment for your child’s enjoyment. We also offer a garden for our agriculture needs, a full basketball court, a library and a weight room.
We are always looking for ways to improve our school, our standards and our student / staff body. In doing so, we have made some changes to the outlook we have on our student body. With the help of our amazing staff, we have our Preschool through Upper Elementary (6th grade) following our Montessori Method. Alongside with the development of our new athletics program, we have expanded to a Collegiate Prep Academy Method for our Middle School and High School students. We are molding these students to be prepared for college. In doing so, we have upgraded some of our curriculum and teaching styles to bring forth the necessary learning experiences our students will need to be successful in college as well as life after school. We are also offering dual enrollment classes for our high school students. This is new as of this year (2021) and are super excited for the possibilities it brings for our high school students.
World of Knowledge also understands the importance of providing every opportunity possible for our future leaders of the world. Throughout this new and exciting journey for our school, our goal is to become a first-class program through hard work, dedication, and an unconditional desire to support out students. We will lean heavily on our past, focus on our present, and build a prosperous legacy for the future of our beloved World of Knowledge family.
