The Toddler Program accepts children from 18 months to 3 years of age. We have an impressive child to teacher ratio of 4:1.

Why is this program unique?

A Montessori program will help each child reach his/her full potential. The young child is developing in so many different ways. Our toddler program will help in development of social skills as well as emotional and physical growth. Our program also provides initial instruction in Spanish.

What did Dr. Maria Montessori believe?

Dr. Montessori believed children have a sensitive period for learning. Our Toddler Program will address each stage of development for your child.

Tell me about my child’s classroom environment.

Our classroom is self-directed and supportive of learning. The teachers help provide a safe and positive climate. We work to build the child’s self-confidence.

How does the classroom work?

The Montessori classroom is based on the freedom within limits principle. The child will work at their own pace with materials they have chosen, with guidance from their teacher. They may work alone or with others. Creativity will flourish in an atmosphere of acceptance and trust. Each child is an individual.

What are the benefits of a Montessori toddler program?

Montessori children are unusually adaptable. They often can work both in groups and as an individual. The children make decisions at an early age. The children are problem solvers who can make choices and manage their time well. Another benefit of our type of education is a positive sense of self-esteem.

“Little children, from the moment they are weaned, are making their way toward independence.”- Maria Montessori
